This 1930s Federation home needed major restoration work done to restore it to its former glory. The finished project however, has set a bench mark and the house has now been named the best character house in the area by realtors & residents alike. 

The inside revealed just how much work really needed to be done! Major cracks were revealed, opened up and repaired; true 1930s character was shown with original feature Jarrah stripped back and restored; and the old sleep-out and back yard didn't look much but the vision was there for something spectacular.

The finished result however is a stunning marriage of traditional finishes & furnishings together with modern features & accessories. The result truly speaks for itself.

Although this 1930s Art Deco house was in quite a rundown condition when purchased, we could see the potential. 

The front four rooms of the house were retained with the front facade undergoing a major restoration. The old paint & plaster work was stripped back and re-plastered, revealing the true detail and beauty of this house. Original tuckpointed brick work along the bottom half of the facade was also cleaned, along with the limestone base. The end result is amazing! 

With a contemporary two-storey addition, this has made for a stunning show-case home. 

Original Jarrah floorboards were sanded & polished and new feature grain Marri floorboards were installed upstairs. 

The furnishings are amazing and the kitchen is state-of-the art.  Custom-designed and made Marri furniture complements the contemporary extension beautifully, whilst allowing a wonderful marriage between the original Art Deco part of the home.  No expense has been spared with this fit out.

The overall look of this house is truly amazing.

This stunning turn-of-the-century grand federation former home had been used as an obstetrics' office for the past 20 years. The foundations were solid but a lot of work was required to fill the brief of returning this grand old lady back to her former glory, whilst at the same time bringing her into the 21st century as a new era in obstetrics.

In just a six week period, this stunning property was transformed from a run down, shell of an existence, into a true grand lady worthy of respect.

An entire renovation including new kitchen, new laundry and two new bathrooms, painting throughout, new carpet & vinyl, plumbing, electrical, window treatments & new glass, furnishings, revamped air-conditioning, new lighting throughout, cabinetry and even the installation of a sky-light windowsill happened in a fraction of the time...and the results were amazing!
